Location. The Bienville House is located in the historic French Quarter of New Orleans, La. The excitement of Bourbon Street is three blocks away, while the galleries of Royal Street are just two blocks away, as are Jackson Square and Café Du Monde, where beignets and chicory coffee are served 24 hours daily. Hotel Features. The Bienville House, originally a riverfront warehouse, was converted into a hotel in 1965. Hand-painted murals grace the walls of the lobby, designed to resemble a gracious French Quarter manor. Cookies and lemonade are served here each afternoon. Complimentary continental breakfasts include coffee, juices, fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries. Meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 people are available. The historic hotel features four sundecks, access to a nearby fitness center and a romantic tropical flagstone courtyard and pool. Pets are welcome here for a fee, and the hotel provides pet beds, a bowl and treats upon request.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Bienville House feature four-poster, triple-sheeted mahogany rice beds and down pillows. Select rooms feature views of the Mississippi River, the French Quarter or the courtyard from wrought-iron balconies. Bathrooms boast spa bathrobes and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available for a fee. Guestrooms are smoke free.
