The St George's Park and La Vallette hotels are large, modern neighbouring complexes, located 500 metres from St George's Bay beach and four kilometres from Valletta, the Maltese capital. The two resorts feature a total of 889 guestrooms and self-catering studios and apartments. All are brightly decorated in bold primary colours with coordinated patterned fabrics, and open onto balconies. All include satellite television, ceiling fans, tea and coffee-making facilities, and direct-dial telephones, while apartments feature kitchenettes and sitting/dining areas.
Although the resort is split into two sites, guests are free to use the amenities of both complexes. The resort offers large, outdoor freshwater pools and a children's paddling pool. The outdoor pool areas feature large sundecks featuring sun loungers and poolside bars. Health-conscious guests can unwind with a sauna. Drinks are served in Ellington's Lounge Bar, which shows major sporting events on a large-screen TV and hosts live entertainment daily. Diners can sample Mediterranean cooking at the Ambient restaurant, a bright, airy dining venue located beside the pool deck, while the De Spinola restaurant offers buffet dining. Guests can check their e-mail or surf the web via public high-speed Internet access (surcharge). Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer advice on sightseeing opportunities and help with tour enquiries. Hotel can arrange transfers to and from the airport on request (surcharges apply).
Renovation notice: There will be ongoing building works taki ng place on a site near the hotel from October 2008. The hotel will try to r educe the impact of this to its guests, and will not accommodate guests in r ooms overlooking the site. Please contact the hotel for more details.
