Location. A Little House in the Colony is located in Jerusalem, Israel, on a quiet street in the Moshava or German Colony, one block from the cafes and restaurants on Emek Refaim Street, and one kilometre from the Old City of Jerusalem.
Hotel Features. Purported to be the smallest hotel in Jerusalem, A Little House in the Colony is a 90-year-old building located on a tree-lined avenue. The hotel is air-conditioned and opens onto a balcony overlooking the garden. Public areas offer wireless Internet access.
The Little House offers a complimentary Israeli breakfast every morning. Breakfast can be served on the balcony during summer. Complimentary coffee and tea are available throughout the day. The dining room features basic self-catering facilities. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are more than 20 restaurants on Emek Refaim Street.
A swimming pool can be found on Emek Refaim Street.
Guestrooms. The 24 guestrooms of the Little House feature bright fabrics in primary colours, offset by light, natural decor and country-style painted furniture. All rooms offer cable television, wireless Internet, telephones, answering machines and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations. Refrigerators are available on request.
Expert Tip. The German colony is named for the German Templar protestants who settled in Jerusalem in the 19th century. Their stone-built houses, which give the colony a village atmosphere, are often decorated with biblical quotations inscribed in German Fraktur script.
Please note: Check-in may not be available until after 9 PM on Saturdays and on Jewish holidays.
