Location. The beachfront Surfside Oceanfront Inn & Suites in Virginia Beach, Va., looks out to the Atlantic Ocean and is located one mile from from Beach Garden District Park and less than four miles from Hilltop Square Shopping Center. Two championship golf courses are both within eight miles of the inn. Also within close proximity are two historic military sites: Fort Story Military Reservation, a training ground for U.S. Army amphibious operations, and Naval Air Station Oceana, which is home to several fighter jet squadrons.
Hotel Features. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served at the inn each morning. The inn has nearly 10,000 square feet of conference room space. Recreation options include a fitness center and indoor pool. Practical amenities include a gift shop, restaurant, and bike rental center.
Guestrooms. Select guestrooms feature separate living and sleeping areas and include kitchens with microwave ovens, refrigerators and coffeemakers. Some also feature whirlpool tubs. Rooms are decorated with patterned bedspreads with dark wood headboards, floral prints, and have cable television with armoires and balconies. Some rooms have balconies or patios with ocean views.
Expert Tip. Guests can rent a bicycle from the inn and go for a ride along the boardwalk, located between the property and the beach. The boardwalk is also a popular venue for in-line skating and jogging. Next to the boardwalk is a well-manicured lawn, ideal for relaxing or sunbathing.
