Location. Two miles from the Carolina Opry and three miles from Broadway at the Beach, the Schooner Beach and Racquet Club is centrally located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At the center of the Grand Strand, a 60 mile string of beaches, Myrtle Beach is geared more toward family than it is the party crowd. Fishing is fantastic here and charter boats are available at marinas up-and-down the Strand. Over 100 golf courses are located in the area and there are over 200 tennis courts. Many theme parks inhabit the area and there are plenty of shopping opportunities at the specialty outlet stores. Fine restaurants and entertainment venues are also spread about the city, including dinner shows like Medieval Times and the Dixie Stampede.
Hotel Features. The resort features an outdoor pool, jetted tub, sauna, fitness equipment and a children's pool. Internet access is available and there are safe-deposit boxes located at the front desk. Laundry facilities are located on site.
Guestrooms. Each of the one- and two-bedroom condos features an ocean-view balcony. Full kitchens offer refrigerators, microwave ovens and dishwashers. All units have tiled baths with jetted tubs. Other amenities include cable television and Internet access.
Expert Tip. Seven miles from the hotel is one of the largest reptile facilities in the world, Alligator Adventure. More than 800 gators and an amazing array of lizards, turtles, giant frogs and exotic birds call it home. A couple of the main attractions include 450 pound tortoises, and the largest crocodile ever displayed in North America.
