Location. Positioned north of downtown Milwaukee, Wis., the Country Inn & Suites Port Washington is close to a racetrack, several championship golf courses and near a marina with salmon and trout fishing tours. Port Washington, one of the most popular fishing and sailing ports on Lake Michigan, is within two miles of the hotel and is loaded with shops and museums. Align Golf Course and Bog Golf Course are within 10 miles of the hotel. The Cedar Creek Winery and antique shops of historic downtown Cedarburg are also within 10 miles.
Hotel Features. Mornings begin with a complimentary continental breakfast on weekdays and the hotel's on-site restaurant, Critic's Corner Bar and Grille, serves lunch and dinner. Within walking distance is an assortment of family restaurants serving casual fare. Recreations at the hotel include an indoor pool, a spa tub and a health club with fitness equipment. The hotel lobby offers a fireplace and complimentary weekday newspapers.
Guestrooms. All 30 guestrooms are located on three stories and include microwave ovens, refrigerators and a coffee/tea maker. Guestrooms also feature complimentary high- speed Internet access. Most rooms also have fireplaces.
Expert Tip. The Port Washington charter fishing fleet is one of the largest on the Great Lakes. Port Washington itself has the largest collection of pre-Civil War buildings in Wisconsin, several of which are on the National Register of Historic Places.
