Location. The Hyatt Regency Hill Country is located on the former Rogers-Wiseman ranch amid 300 wooded acres in San Antonio, Texas. The hotel stands one mile from SeaWorld San Antonio.
Hotel Features. This historic hotel is constructed of native limestone and features massive open-hearth lobby fireplaces. The lobby is embellished with handmade quilts, antler chandeliers, bronze ranch-themed sculptures and framed Texas landscape paintings. Educational wildlife kiosks dot the expansive landscaped grounds. Dining options include Antler's Lodge which affords golf course views and serves fresh game and seafood. The Springhouse Café offers traditional Texas favorites, including homemade salsa and chips. Charlie's Long Bar Saloon features a copper-topped bar and offers shuffleboard, billiard and dart games. Papa Ed's Pool Bar and Grill serves poolside fare, while the Cactus Oak Tavern is a 19th hole bar and grill. The resort's 27-hole championship golf course was designed by the renowned Arthur Hill and Associates. The 14,000-square-foot Windflower-The Hill Country Spa & Salon features 21 massage-treatment rooms, hydrotherapy tubs, Vichy showers, dry saunas, a eucalyptus-infused steam room, a lap pool and a spa tub. A 24-hour, complimentary fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. The four-acre Water Wonderland includes the lazy Ramblin' River, a zero-entry sand beach, two outdoor pools, an adults-only pool and a children's pool.
Guestrooms. This four-story resort offers 500 southwestern-style guestrooms and suites. Rich woods and leather furnishings reflect ranch-style décor. Hyatt Grand Beds are dressed with pillowtop mattresses, down comforters and silk throws. Private bathrooms include granite vanities and Portico eucalyptus toiletries. All rooms contain refrigerators and coffeemakers. Rooms include high-speed wired and wireless Internet access for a fee, and MP3 adaptors.
Expert Tip. The Hyatt Regency Hill Country tailors spa treatments for children at The SPAhhT, and offers a teens-only club at UNDERGROUND. The club includes music, a dance floor, billiards and arcade games. The club serves non-alcoholic "mocktails."
