Location. The Wildwood Canyon Inn is located on Main Street in Telluride, Colo., across the street from the Telluride Visitor's Center. Bicycle and walking paths start in front of the inn. The town's ski lifts, restaurants, shops and festival locations are available starting two blocks away.
Features. This inn was built in 1998, but blends in with the style of the surrounding Main Street buildings. Full complimentary breakfasts and evening snacks are served daily. Complimentary baskets of goodies, including bottled spring water and snacks, are provided to guests upon arrival. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided. The inn houses a book and video library, which stocks magazines and a daily newspaper. The property's common living area, which opens out to a third-floor sundeck with a hot tub, features vaulted ceilings, overstuffed furniture and a fireplace. The inn provides use of ski lockers. A complimentary shuttle runs from the hotel to the Telluride Regional Airport.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Wildwood Canyon feature a mountain flowers decor. Windows and private balconies offer mountain views. All rooms include private bathrooms with bathrobes, blanket-style bath towels and complimentary toiletries. Carved headboards and decorative pillows decorate the beds, which are dressed with 400-thread count sheets. Turndown service is provided, and fresh flowers and complimentary amenities baskets are included in all rooms. Select rooms contain fireplaces, double showers, jetted tubs, cable television and DVD players.
Expert Tip. The Wildwood Canyon Inn showcases the work of Richard Franklin, an artist who died in a plane crash at the age of 35.
