Location. The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is located less than one-half mile from The Borgata shops in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Scottsdale Fashion Square is positioned three miles away, while Old Town Scottsdale is four miles from the resort.
Hotel Features. Set amid a cluster of championship golf courses, the Southwestern-style Scottsdale Plaza Resort is positioned in the shadow of Camelback Mountain on 40 acres of desert gardens and arid terrain. Hotel dining options include fine dining at Remington's Restaurant, buffets at the Garden Court Restaurant and poolside refreshments at Café Cabana Restaurant. J.D.'s Lounge provides beers on tap, pool tables and sports action broadcast on five large televisions. A business center houses three computer stations. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee in public areas. A complimentary, 24-hour fitness center houses cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, and free weights. Plexi-paved tennis courts are lighted, and an indoor racquetball court is air conditioned. Five pools provide outdoor recreation. The Salon and Day Spa offers massages, facials and a sauna. The concierge arranges tee times at any of the area's golf courses.
Guestrooms. This two-story resort offers 404 guestrooms and suites located in stucco corridors without elevator access. Décor combines Mediterranean and Southwestern motifs, crown molding and pale-toned wood furniture. Beds feature 300-thread count sheets and pillowtop mattresses. Bathrooms contain Turkish-cotton bathrobes. Accommodations include minibars and coffeemakers. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee.
Expert Tip. Between tee times, golfers can try a realistic golf arcade game located at J.D.'s Lounge. Players experience the best of two worlds by playing golf while they sample the lounge's appetizers and wide selection of beers.
