Location. Rising 20 stories over the Atlantic, the beachfront Caribbean Resort & Villas in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is less than two miles from the Ripley's Aquarium, NASCAR SpeedPark and Broadway at the Beach. The Myrtle Beach International Airport is five miles from the property.
Features. The Caribbean Resort & Villas offers Southern hospitality and the atmosphere of the Caribbean islands. Water attractions at the resort include indoor and outdoor lazy rivers, three outdoor pools, four spa tubs, a water slide and a children's splash and a water park with a silly sub. A seasonal poolside bar is on site. The property also features a fitness center and a game room. Guests receive complimentary use of the computer room. Wireless Internet access is also complimentary. Guests receive golf privileges at the private Dunes Golf Course, located seven miles away. Pets are not allowed at the property.
Guestrooms. The 454 condos, guestrooms and suites at the resort feature light-colored wood furnishings, and tropical-inspired decor. The units are located in three-, five- or fifteen-story buildings. All accommodations include dial-up Internet access, cable television and refrigerators. The Cayman building offers two-, three- and four-bedroom oceanfront and angle oceanfront condos. Suites in the Dominican building feature full ocean views and fully equipped kitchens. Partial ocean-view rooms feature double vanities in the bathroom, refrigerators, coffeemakers, tables and chairs. One-bedroom units offer single sofa beds, pull-down Murphy beds, four-chair dining sets, coffee tables, wing chairs and cable television in the living/dining rooms. These units also feature cable television in the bedroom, fully equipped kitchenettes with four-burner ranges, microwave ovens and refrigerators, and two telephones. They also offer balconies with two chairs and full ocean views off the living/dining areas. All units are non-smoking.
Expert Tip. Meander to the Sea Captain's House Restaurant, a former bed and breakfast located adjacent to the hotel. Hibiscus blossoms grace the entry as you enter the wood- paneled lobby. Relax at the fireplace or enjoy a game of chess before dining. An open-air terrace welcomes ocean breezes as you enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This resort is currently constructing a new building that is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2007. Completion dates are subject to change. The hotel assures that every effort will be made to minimize construction noise and related disturbances.
