Location. The Mediterranean-style Lake Tarpon Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla., hugs an inlet that empties into Lake Tarpon, famed for its bass fishing. The
hotel is close to Tarpon Lake which offers opportunities for scuba diving and water skiing. Horseback riding, bird-watching, golf and other recreational opportunities are also available. The Greek village of Tarpon Springs, often described as the sponge-fishing capital of the world, features, deep-sea sea fishing excursions, cruises and more than 25 restaurants and bakeries within five miles of the hotel. Clearwater Beach is just 15 miles away and within 21 miles are St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport and Tampa International airports.
