The Lathrop House B&B is located in Springfield, Mass., in the historic Forest Park District. Forest Park is across the street, and offers a zoo, public pool, nature trails and tennis courts. Six Flags New England, featuring entertainment and rides such as The Catapult, a 105-foot ride that rotates 360 degrees, is less than six miles away.
Built in 1899, this Victorian-style mansion features rose gardens and a front porch with columns and a swing. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served each morning in the dining room, featuring fresh exotic fruits. Kosher meals are available. Fruit, pastries, cheese and water are available 24 hours a day. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided. A movie library and board games are offered in the common rooms, which are complemented by stained glass. Hiking, tennis, biking and jogging are available across the street in Forest Park. The bed and breakfast offers arrival and departure car service. Pets are not allowed at the property.
The Lathrop House B&B offers three individually decorated guestrooms. All rooms share hallway bathrooms. The Queen Garden room, located on the garden side of the home, is decorated with European artwork. The King Terrace room offers a private terrace, refrigerator stocked with beverages, a television and VCR.
