Expert Tip. Conway Railroad transported passenger trains from 1874 until 1961, when automobiles took over transportation, and commercial trains until 1972. In 1974, the Conway Scenic Railroad began seasonal excursion train service. In summer and autumn, trains travel to Conway and Bartlett and through the Mount Washington Valley of trees and hills.
