Location. The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway and Grand Dunes Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Carolina Opry and the Dixie Stampede are one mile away. Features. Set on 2,200 acres, the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes showcases Mediterranean-style architecture. Dining is offered at a gourmet restaurant, lobby bar, lobby library for afternoon tea, lemonade and fresh-baked cookies, and an open-air bar and grille overlooking the pool. Room service is also available. More than 25,000 square feet of meeting space is available in a ballroom, eight meeting rooms and an executive boardroom. The resort's business center offers mail and postage service, and fax and photocopy services. Complimentary wireless Internet service is accessible throughout the resort. A freeform outdoor pool and spa tub overlook the Intracoastal Waterway, and an indoor pool features two jet-system, swim-in-place stations. The resort features a fitness center, tennis center with lighted HarTru courts, a pro shop and professional instruction. Child care services are available for a fee. Pets are not allowed.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms and villas feature private bathrooms with oversized marble baths, separate showers and dual vanities. Terry-cloth bathrobes, designer toiletries and milled soaps are provided. Beds feature triple sheeting, 100-percent cotton linens, and foam, feather or down pillows. Well-stocked refreshment centers and coffeemakers are provided. All units feature at least one private balcony with sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Grande Dunes Marina or the Grande Lawn. Cable television and CD players are provided.
Expert Tip. The Grande Dunes Golf Club was designed by Roger Rulewich, a former associate of the renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. The design of the course is characterized by steep elevation changes, wide Bermuda-grass fairways and large bent-grass greens.
