Location. Positioned four miles north of downtown Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Ocean Reef Resort is located on bustling Ocean Boulevard. The Broadway at the Beach complex is five miles away, and Barefoot Landing is six miles from the resort.
Features. The Ocean Reef Resort offers oceanfront dining at the Café du Port, which hosts a breakfast buffet and offers an a la carte menu. The Banana Boat Lounge hosts a nightly social hour. Meeting rooms and event catering are available, along with hotel-wide wireless Internet access. An indoor recreational complex features a 250-foot lazy river, freeform pool and two spa tubs. An indoor/outdoor children's water playground showcases a shipwreck, mushroom waterfall, water buckets and rain showers. An irregularly shaped, 115-foot pool, children's pool, seasonal poolside bar and spa tub are available outside. Complimentary supervised children's activities entertain younger guests in the summer. Pets are not allowed at the property
Guestrooms. Guestrooms and condos at this resort offer full oceanfront views or angled side ocean views from private balconies. Units reflect informal ambience with light-wood furnishings and vibrant toned fabrics. Refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffeemakers are included in all units, while larger accommodations feature kitchenettes or full kitchens and dishwashers. Cable television and in-room safes are provided.
Hotel Expert's Tip. Golfers experience long tees, unique fairway bunkers and elevated greens at the private Dunes Golf and Beach Club, located within three miles of the resort. The golf club was constructed in 1947 and designed by Robert Trent Jones.
