Location. Set on 650 lushly landscaped acres containing five 18-hole championship golf courses, the Marriott Resort, Doral Golf Resort and Spa is 13 miles west of Miami, Fla. The resort is home to 90 holes of PGA golf and the Jim McLean Golf School.
Hotel Features. Guests experience panoramic views of the hotel's golf courses from the Windows on the Green restaurant while enjoying seafood, sushi and lobster. For family-style dining, the Terrazza Restaurant and Cafe serves American cuisine for breakfast. Guestrooms. The 693 guestrooms are dressed in plantation-style wicker and wood furniture. Select rooms have private, furnished balconies or patios with outdoor seating. Amenities include coffeemakers, high-speed Internet access, in-room safes, bathrobes and minibars.
Expert Tip. The Marriott Resort, Doral Golf Resort and Spa has hosted the PGA championship tour for 40 years, and some of the world's most famous golfers play at the resort. Guests can grab chairs on the outdoor patio overlooking the greens and watch the action. Golfing greats Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods and Hollywood stars like John Travolta are known to pass by.
