Location. The Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder is located on 500 acres of high desert land in Santa Fe, N.M. The Native American Heritage Center and Native American Art Gallery are on site. Hotel Features. With architecture inspired by pueblos, the resort features 61,000 square feet of casino gaming space, including 1,200 slot machines, 22 gaming tables and a 10-table poker room. Two lounges offer nightclub atmospheres, live music and comedy shows. The hotel boasts two bars and six restaurants, one of which is headlined by celebrity chef Mark Miller. Two outdoor pools and spa tubs share a poolside grille. A 16,000-square-foot health club and spa offers hair, skin and beauty treatments. The hotel's Towa Golf Course was designed by Hale Irwin and Bill Phillips. On-site boutique shopping features 13,000 square feet of handicrafts, souvenirs, clothing, jewelry, home accessories and more.
Guestrooms. All 390 guestrooms incorporate authentic American Indian design elements and décor. Rooms feature balconies or oversized windows overlooking the countryside. Beds are topped with pillowtop mattresses and down comforters. Cuisinart coffeemakers are paired with Lavazza coffees. Rooms include 37-inch LCD televisions and MP3 clock radios. In-room safes are provided. Select rooms feature traditional latilla wooden ceiling treatments.
Expert Tip. Saddle up for one of the hotel's equestrian trail tours. Lose yourself as you roam the countryside, a throwback to the days when these desert lands were occupied solely by the Pueblo People.
