Location. Set amid La Jolla Village's shops, museums and restaurants, the historic La Valencia Hotel is located in La Jolla, Calif. This Mediterranean-style property offers panoramic views from atop La Jolla Cove. San Diego-La Jolla Underwater Park is located one block away, and the Museum of Contemporary Art is four blocks from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The hotel lobby features colorful 1920s Spanish tile work, hand-painted ceilings, period antiques and a salon section with large glass windows. Dining venues include the intimate Sky Room that affords 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean and offers fresh Californian cuisine. The Whaling Bar and Grill is a nautically-themed eatery that prepares salads and American-style main courses. A business center houses two computer stations. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel. A 24-hour, complimentary fitness facility contains cardio equipment, strength-training machines and free weights. Spa services are performed in two treatment rooms or in guests' accommodations, and include facials and massage therapies. An outdoor pool and tiled spa tub are located on a fourth-floor tropically accented patio.
Guestrooms. This property offers 115 guestrooms with varying décor. All-white bedding includes 360-thread count linens. Rooms contain minibars and coffeemakers.
