Location. The Summer Bay Resort is within six miles of MGM Studios, Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Animal Kingdom in Kissimmee, Fla. This 400-acre, Key West-themed resort is located on the shores of a 64-acre, spring-fed lake. The Inn at Summer Bay, which houses the resort's deluxe rooms, is located across the street.
Features. This property consists of the Summer Bay Resort and the two-story Inn at Summer Bay. The Summer Bay Resort features a clubhouse with a poolside tiki bar, atrium and fitness center. The property boasts four spa tubs and heated freeform pools located throughout the grounds. The clubhouse pool is open 24 hours each day. The resort's sandy beach offers a waterfront playground, including Jet Skis, a fishing pier and a beach volleyball court. Concierge services, dry cleaning services and a video library are available. The Inn at Summer Bay, located across the highway, features a rectangular outdoor pool, a a spa tub and exercise room. The resort offers tennis courts, a game room, and planned activities for adults and children. A children's activity center is adjacent to the clubhouse. Two playgrounds are located on the property. The clubhouse offers a convenience and gift store. All amenities of the Summer Bay Resort are available to guests of the Inn at Summer Bay.
Guestrooms. Condos at the Summer Bay Resort offer full kitchens, separate dining and sitting areas, and washers and dryers. Deluxe rooms at the Inn at Summer Bay include microwave ovens, mini fridges and coffeemakers. Cable television and DVD players are provided in all condo units.
Expert Tip. Summer Bay Resort offers complimentary shuttle service to Walt Disney World, and transportation to SeaWorld and Universal Studios for a fee.
