Location. Located 75 miles north of New York City, N.Y., Minnewaska Lodge is a contemporary 26-room mountain lodge on 17 secluded acres, nestled at the base of the spectacular Shawangunk Mountains. Hiking, mountain biking, swimming, golf, cross-country skiing, or the world-renowned rock climbing in Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve, are right in the Lodge's backyard.
Hotel Features. Minnewaska Lodge provides guests with the luxury of a fine hotel combined with the comfort of a bed & breakfast. Ideal for a family or business getaway, the lodge has facilities for small group meetings and conferences, and corporate retreats. The lodge's fitness center offers treadmills, an exercise bicycle and a multi-station weight machine. The chefs at Minnewaska Lodge prepare homemade baked goods and granola, fresh fruits, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, a selection of breads and cereals, juices, teas and freshly roasted organic coffees. Breakfast is served in the comfort of the Great Room, where the sun illuminates the 1,200-foot cliff face, right out the back door.
Guestrooms. Minnewaska Lodge offers 26 guestrooms with many fine amenities, including cable television, two-line telephones, complimentary high-speed Internet access and voice mail. All rooms feature oak Mission-style furnishings, cliff or forest views, and many rooms have private decks and cathedral ceilings. From the balconies on the west side of Minnewaska Lodge, guests have views of the spectacular cliffs. East-side balconies look out on the forest and take in the first morning light. All units are non- smoking.
Expert Tip. Minnewaska Lodge is conveniently located to the Hudson Valley's famous attractions, including the Hudson River mansions and museums, the 17th-century stone houses in New Paltz, golf courses, antique shops, and excellent restaurants and shopping.
