Location. Grand Gateway Hotel is two miles from downtown Rapid City in Rapid City, S.D. The Mount Rushmore National Monument is 25 miles away. The hotel is also within a mile of Rushmore Mall and the Black Hills National Forest.

The hotel's Cheers Sports Bar offers 42-inch, 37-inch and 22-inch LCD televisions showing sports. The bar also features live entertainment, including karaoke and music, nightly. Perkins Restaurant offers a traditional menu 24 hours daily. An airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Guestrooms. The 132 guestrooms at Grand Gateway Hotel are all nonsmoking, and feature elegant Victorian decor with cherry-wood furniture and soothing earth tones. Rooms offer mountain or city views. Expert Tip. Storybook Island, less than five miles from the hotel, is a children's theme park open from late May through early September, at no charge to visitors.
