Location. The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne is the only resort property on the secluded island village of Key Biscayne, Fla. The quiet village is two miles from South Beach.
Hotel Features.The property is adorned with marble and rich wood décor, and dozens of long stem red roses are displayed as the centerpiece in the lobby. The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne boasts a 20,000-square-foot spa including a relaxation room and grotto with a sauna and spa tub, which cater to guests awaiting spa treatments. A private pedicure suite with a plasma-screen television is offered upon availability. This resort offers fitness schedules for their expansive Pilate's studio and the Motion Studio for aerobics. The Cardio Studio is filled with a large selection of cardiovascular equipment. A 10-court tennis center, designed by tennis pro Cliff Drysdale, and pro shop are located on site. The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne offers two pools. The serene north pool is surrounded by lounge chairs, and shady palm trees. The south pool is located in the Cantina Beach area of the resort. This family-oriented pool offers toys, floats and a small sundries shop. Named by Travel and Leisure Magazine as the "Most Family Friendly Resort in Miami," this property offers the Ritz Kids program, which engages children in themed and seasonal activities such as hiking, educational adventures and outdoor movies.
Guestrooms. The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne offers 402 guestrooms, most with balconies overlooking the resort, ocean or pool areas. Four-poster beds are dressed with Frette Linens, goose down duvets and hypoallergenic foam pillows. Guest bathrooms offer separate marble tubs and showers, bathrobes, slippers and Bulgari toiletries.
Expert Tip. Just off the main lobby is the Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne's Havana-inspired RUMBAR. Cantina Beach also offers an impressive array of tequilas and the country's only Tequilier, a specialist in tequila.
