Location.The Hali'i Kai Resort is located in Waikoloa, Hawaii, on the western shores of the Big Island. Sitting in the shadow of Mauna Kea mountain, the resort is less than one mile from Anaehoomalu Bay and world-class golf courses. Hapuna Beach is eight miles away and Kekaha Kai State Park is 12 miles from the resort. Features. The Hali'i Kai resort sits on 30 acres and features a multi-level, lagoon-style outdoor pool with waterfall, children's wading pool and spa tub. A fully equipped exercise cabana offers views of the ocean. An on-site oceanfront restaurant and bar serves dishes prepared with locally grown ingredients, including Kamuela tomatoes, Kekela Farms baby lettuce and Molokai sweet potatoes.
Guestrooms. The two- and three-bedroom villas at the Hali'i Kai Resort offer lanais with views of the ocean, mountains and golf course. Interiors feature island-style décor accented with exotic hardwoods, artwork and plants. All villas have separate sitting areas and fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. Expert Tip. Mauna Kea means "white mountain" because its peak receives snow during the winter months. Measured from the ocean floor, it is the world's tallest mountain at 33,000 feet with 13,796 feet sitting above sea level. At the summit of Mauna Kea is the world's largest observatory.
