Location. Resting on ten acres of lush landscape along the Beach Course golf course, Outrigger Fairway Villas combine a strategic location with luxurious features and contemporary plantation architecture in beautiful Waikoloa, Hawaii. King's Golf Course is adjacent to the property and there are several small lakes strewn about the immediate area. Lush tropical forests mingle with palm-speckled beaches of black, gold, white and even green sands on the Big Island. Kilauea Volcano is in a constant state of eruption these days, pouring molten lava down its massive slopes and into the ocean, ultimately forming more landmass. Recreational possibilities are endless, from water sports and volleyball to waterfall hikes and cliff diving.
Hotel Features. The Outrigger Fairway Villas offer an fabulous array of modern amenities including a free-form infinity pool resembling a waterfall-fed pond. Shopping is available at King's Shops, located on the resort grounds. A jetted tub set in lava rock is perfect for relaxing and there are barbeque grills located on site. There is a small fitness center on site and guests receive discounted access to both golf courses.
Guestrooms. Airy tropical furnishings and granite countertops grace the two- and three-bedroom condos. Each unit has a furnished lanai (balcony) and laundry machines. Full kitchens come with dishwashers, refrigerators, microwave ovens and ranges. Other amenities include Internet access and DVD players.
Expert Tip. Akaka Falls, located on the other side of the island, rise 442-feet and provide visitors with some spectacular Hawaiian scenery. Visitors traverse an easy-to-maneuver loop through the rainforest, past bamboo and ginger, down to an observation point where both Akaka and the 100-foot Kahuna Falls can be seen.
