Location. The ResortQuest at Papakea Resort is located near the resort community of Kaanapali, four miles from Lahaina, Hawaii, on the island of Maui. Whalers Village is located one mile away, while Kaanapali Golf Course is two miles from this property. Features. Set on 13 oceanfront acres, ResortQuest at Papakea Resort features manicured lawns, tropical landscaping and tranquil koi ponds framed by coconut palms. Guests have signing privileges at the nearby Beach Club Restaurant that serves steaks, pasta and seafood dishes. A full bar specializes in tropical drinks. Business amenities such as fax and photocopy services are available at the 24-hour front desk. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in public areas. The resort boasts two ocean-view splash pools, three illuminated tennis courts, two putting greens and two spa tubs. Yoga and introductory surfing classes are complimentary. Shuffleboard and Sunday putting contests are offered. A picturesque bridge leads to the resort's partner property, where children's programs for children ages five through 12 are offered for a fee. These programs include Hawaiian cultural activities such as ukulele lessons and hula-skirt making.
Guestrooms. This four-story condo property offers 364 island-style guestrooms. The condos extend onto furnished balconies, some with ocean views. Cable television, DVD players and complimentary wireless Internet access are included. All units feature kitchens with refrigerators, microwave ovens, coffeemakers, dishes and cookware. Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations and are stocked with ResortQuest toiletries. Three-bedroom units feature two separate bedrooms plus a loft area.
Expert Tip. I greatly appreciated the hotel's resort orientation conducted during breakfast on my first morning at the ResortQuest at Papakea Resort. I learned about the resort's amenities and enjoyed the complimentary island breakfast.
Kids Stay, Play and Eat Free: Book a stay for travel through January 1, 2009, and each child under 12 years receives a kid's ID card valid for complimentary meals, activities, merchandise and admission to attractions. Children must be accompanied by adults. Adult purchase of equal or lesser value required. Subject to availability. Replacement cards will not be issued. Other restrictions apply.
