Location. The Jekyll Oceanfront Clarion Resort is located in Jekyll Island, Ga., featuring its own private expanse of beach. The resort rests on 15 tropically landscaped acres filled with ancient oak trees and rich maritime forests.
Hotel Features. Guests dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Capital Steak and Seafood House or grab a slice of pizza to go at Pizzeria Uno. The Capital features a Saturday seafood buffet. The Lobby Bar boasts a martini menu while the poolside Tiki Hut provides frozen beverages daily. Over 14,000 square feet of banquet facilities are available for social functions and events, along with a 4,000-square-foot poolside pavilion that can accommodate up to 300 guests. The hotel assists with event catering, computer rental and complimentary wireless Internet access. Outdoor pools, a hair salon and on-site spa services strive to pamper. Guests roast marshmallows and hot dogs at the barbecue pits or start up a game of volleyball at the on-site courts.
Guestrooms. Palm-tree and tropical themes characterize the guestrooms, which open out onto private balconies or patios. Amenities include video-game consoles, sewing kits and cable television. Bottled water and toiletries are complimentary, and turndown service is available upon request.
Expert Tip. Summertime entertainment is featured live by the pool Thursday through Saturday evenings.
