Location. With a prestigious address on shop-lined Decatur Street, the Hotel Chateau Dupre in New Orleans, La., stands three blocks from the decadence of Bourbon Street and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. Built in 1845, this historic building was once the home of statesmen, magnates and matriarchs of New Orleans society. The four-story building has operated as a hotel since the early 1990s. Guestrooms.
