Location. Set amid the mountainous Nevada desert, the MonteLago Village Resort Lake Las Vegas is located 16 miles from the Las Vegas Strip on the shores of Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nev. This Mediterranean-themed village offers shopping, dining, and European-style gaming two miles from the Lake Mead Recreational area.
Features. The resort features winding cobblestone streets leading to flowing fountains and a collection of galleries showcasing hand-blown glassware. The adjacent MonteLago Village boasts a casino and a range of restaurants, including the the Bistro Zinc, the Café Positano, the Como's Steakhouse, the La Havana Cigar Bar and the Luna Rossa. The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Starbucks are also available. Casino MonteLago's casino offers 15 table games, a variety of slot machines and a sports book. The property offers three heated outdoor pools, spa tubs and two fitness centers with cardiovascular equipment and strength-training machines. A shuttle service transports guests to nearby golf courses and neighboring resorts.
Guestrooms. MonteLago Village Resort Lake Las Vegas offers 300 suites housed in the Viera, a five-story building located in the village center, and the Luna Di Lusso, two five-story buildings located across the bridge from the village center. Accommodations feature Tuscan-style architecture, living and dining areas, and private furnished balconies. All accommodations provide fully equipped kitchens. Other amenities include cable television, DVD players and complimentary high-speed Internet access.
Expert Tip. Distanced from the Las Vegas Strip and downtown Las Vegas, the Montelago Village Resort offers recreational amenities that The Strip and downtown areas lack. Lake Las Vegas offers a marina, and boats, kayaks and fishing gear rentals. Throughout the year, music performances and special events are held evenings along the water's edge.
