Location. Positioned at the port of Gulfport, Miss., and overlooking the Gulf of Mexico is the Island View Casino Resort Hotel. The Marine Life Oceanarium is one-half mile away, and the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center and Beauvoir Jefferson Davis Home are within eight miles. Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is less than six miles from the property.
Hotel Features. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are available at the 24-hour Island View Buffet, which hosts live action food stations and a dessert bar. Three bars are located in the hotel, which serve an array of frosty libations. Expert Tip. The Port of Gulfport was established in 1902 as a deep-water port, maintaining a depth of 32-36 feet throughout. This port with public piers provides direct access to sea-lanes, air, rail and interstate highways and is becoming a leader in international trade. The port moves more than 2.3 million tons of cargo including tropical fruit, frozen poultry, livestock, aluminum, steel and wood.
