Location. Cedar Creek offers comfortable lodging less than one mile from Mountain Village in Big Sky, Mont. Positioned in the Gallatin Valley, halfway between Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park, the Big Sky Resort has become one of the most popular winter destinations in the country. The narrow valley is flanked by the Absaroka and Gallatin mountain ranges to the east, and by the Madison Range to the west. With 400 inches of snowfall each year, skiing and snowboarding are the big draws for the area, but plenty of recreational possibilities are available once the snow has melted, including golfing, tennis, rock climbing, biking, fishing and hiking. Dozens of eateries and nightlife venues exist, as well as plenty of unique shops and galleries. Hotel Features. The resort offers tour assistance and concierge services, and child care can be arranged. Ski shuttles transport guests to and from ski areas and airport transportation is available. Guest laundry facilities are located on site and high-speed Internet access is offered for a fee.
Guestrooms. Each of the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos feature small decks with mountain views and full kitchens with refrigerators, ranges and microwave ovens. Cable television, VCRs and dial-up Internet access are standard amenities.
Expert Tip. The Gallatin River, which runs close to the property, was the setting for the film A River Runs Through It.
