Location. A Florida landmark since its celebrated opening in 1928, the 300-acre Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is located on the shores of Ponte Vedra Beach. The hotel stands three miles from the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion.
Hotel Features. The hotel's lobby is supported by white Roman columns and features oak floors, cherry-wood beams, marble tile and European-style furnishings. Dining options include the signature Seafoam Room, which features continental cuisine, private candlelit tables and ocean views. The Inn Dining Room offers a selection of fresh seafood, while the Golf Club overlooks the blue lagoons and famous "island 9th hole." The hotel offers 24-hour room service. A business center offers fax, photocopy and print services. A total of 25,000 square feet of function space accommodates events. Resort acreage includes 36 holes of golf and 15 tennis courts. A 30,000-square-foot health spa offers a vast range of Eastern and Western massage techniques, and beauty treatments such as facials and nail care. A 24-hour fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. Four outdoor pools include a children's pool with a waterslide and an adults-only pool.
Guestrooms. The resort's 250 oceanfront guestrooms and 45 suites feature Tommy Bahama custom furnishings and original artwork. Most accommodations provide Atlantic Ocean views from furnished patios or balconies. Kitchenettes include refrigerators, microwave ovens and minibars. Rooms provide complimentary Internet access, cable television, CD and DVD players, and laptop-compatible in-room safes.
Expert Tip. The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club boasts two championship golf courses where professionals players provide private instruction. Instruction includes a videotaped analysis of students' golf swings.
