Location. Arsenic & Old Lace is nestled on a wooded hillside in the historic district of Eureka Springs, Ark. The inn is located two blocks from the city's Historic Loop and one-half mile from Spring Street, which showcases Victorian homes, international cuisine, art galleries, boutiques, nightclubs, coffee houses and quirky local hangouts. Features. This Queen Anne Victorian inn offers views of the hills and gardens from a large, wraparound veranda. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served overlooking the gardens, and a large common area provides 24-hour complimentary snacks and refreshments. Fax and photocopy services, and concierge services, are provided. Stained glass windows, tin ceilings, original artwork, antiques and crystal chandeliers add Old World elegance to the inn. A large video library and an outdoor sundeck are available.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at Arsenic & Old Lace feature private bathrooms with jetted tubs, spa showers and bathrobes. All accommodations include fireplaces and air conditioning. Cable television, VCRs and CD players are provided. The Library Room offers a private seating area on the inn's veranda, and stained-glass windows. The patio suite offers two wing-backed chairs and a private courtyard patio bordered by ivy- covered walls. Deluxe Jacuzzi Rooms offer bathrooms with oversize Jacuzzi tubs.
Expert Tip. The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, located nine miles from the inn, houses over 100 large tigers, lions, leopards and cougars. The attraction opens at 9 a.m., and offers guided habitat tours at in the late morning and feeding demonstrations in the evening.
