Cypress Hotel is a boutique safari-themed hotel in downtown Cupertino. The hotel is 10 miles from San Jose International Airport and six miles from the Shoreline Amphitheatre. Designed to resemble a Mediterranean villa, the nine-story hotel is a colorful mixture of safari themes, designer touches, and Mediterranean style. The lobby area, which includes full-length windows overlooking an outdoor fountain, has a decidedly hip 1960s theme, with a gas fireplace and red-velvet couches, faux-fur throw pillows, and shelves of gorgeous vases and antiquities.
Guestrooms at the hotel come with high-speed Internet access and loads of zebra and leopard prints on the carpet, pillows, walls, and bathrobes. This 224-room hotel opened in 2002 with a restaurant, a 3,000-square-foot ballroom, and lobby with fireplace. The restaurant, Park Place Seafood Steaks & Spirits features and incredible brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The fitness center has an array of cardio equipment, and each machine has its own TV and remote control. The colorful boutique Cypress Hotel is within a 20-minute drive of most of the South Bay's tourist attractions, from Paramount's Great America park (8 miles) to Stanford University (12 miles), as well as most major business centers.
The hotel features hosted evening wine receptions nightly.
Smoking Fees: Fees are determined and collected by the hotel and are subject to change. As of June 15th 2008, the Cypress Hotel will be a non-smoking hotel. There will be a $250 charge per room for guests that smoke in their room.
