Location. The Colonel Roger Brown House is located in historic Concord, Mass. A commuter rail line station, located less than one mile from the property, offers trains running to Cambridge and Boston. The property is four miles from the Concord Center, Old North Bridge and Walden Pond. Authors Ridge, a section of the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery that serves as the final resting place for Henry David Thoreau, Nathanial Hawthorne and Ralph Waldo Emerson, is less than five miles away. Features. This Colonial home was built in 1775, and features hand-hewn beams, original doors and raised wood paneling. Complimentary breakfast baskets with continental items are delivered to the guestrooms each morning. The Colonel Roger Brown House offers lunch and dinner upon request for a fee. Afternoon tea is provided. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. The Colonel Roger Brown House offers guest suites with sitting rooms, separate bedrooms and private bathrooms. Kitchenettes with full-sized refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, cooktops, coffeemakers and toasters are offered in each suite. Expert Tip. The Wayside and The Orchard House are two museums located less than four miles from the inn. The Wayside house was home to the distinguished mathematician, physicist and astronomer John Winthrop during the Revolutionary War, and The Orchard House was the residence of Louisa May, the author of the classic novel "Little Women."
