Location. The 27-story Renaissance Chicago Hotel overlooks the Chicago River at the edge of the Loop in Chicago, Ill. This Central Business district hotel is three blocks from shops on Michigan Avenue, and within one mile of the John Hancock Center, Sears Tower and Art Institute of Chicago.
Hotel Features. The Renaissance Chicago Hotel's lobby features sparkling chandeliers and a private rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city. Great Street Restaurant serves American fare three meals daily. Music and martinis in the Lobby Court Lounge are enhanced with a selection of light hors d'oeuvres mid-afternoons through late evenings, while the Renaissance Café serves Starbucks coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts throughout the day. The hotel has a sky-lit indoor splash pool with spa tub and sauna, along with a 24-hour fitness club. Two on-site spa treatment rooms provide the setting for therapeutic services. Flexible meeting space, event catering and Kinko's business center are also available.
Guestrooms. Illuminated with natural daylight from broad windows, the 553 guestrooms of the Renaissance Chicago Hotel feature dark, mahogany-stained wooden furnishings. Signature Revive bedding features include 300-thread count sheets, down comforters (bedspreads), duvet covers, pillowtop mattresses and bolster pillows. Minibars are provided in each room. Standard amenities include flat-panel televisions, video game consoles, CD players and high-speed wired and wireless Internet access, for a fee. Bathrooms offer bathrobes, lighted makeup mirrors, shower/tub combinations and Lather toiletries. Executive guestroom upgrades include complimentary breakfasts and evening receptions. Refrigerators and microwave ovens are available upon request.
Expert Tip. Check out the 1,000 faces of Chicago at the famous Crown Fountain, located less than four blocks from the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. In the summer, residents cool off beneath the fountains most unique feature.
