Hotel Features. Italian Renaissance architecture pervades the hotel lobby which is distinguished by crystal chandeliers and carved-wood moldings. Constructed in 1920, the hotel is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Five restaurants and bars include Drake Bros. which serves American-style fare, Cape Cod which is known for its New England seafood specialties and Coq d'Or which prepares American-style cuisine. The famed Palm Court offers afternoon tea service. Travel Traders convenience store stocks snacks and sundries. A staffed business center houses two computer stations and offers administrative services. A total of 30,000 square feet of function space accommodates up to 500 people. Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Clefs d'Or-designated concierge staff resolves tour and reservation related questions, and attends to special requests. The Drake Hotel's limited-hour fitness center contains polished wood floors and an array of stationary bicycles, treadmills, stair machines, exercise balls and weight-training equipment. The fitness center provides complimentary headphones for use during workouts.
Guestrooms. This 10-story property offers 535 guestrooms equipped with high-speed Internet access for a fee and MP3 adaptors. Hilton Serenity beds feature pillowtop mattresses and down duvets. Bathrooms contain marble vanities, curved shower rods and La Source toiletries. Coffeemakers and minibars are provided in all accommodations. Laptop-compatible, in-room safes are complimentary.
