Location. The Cromwell Manor Inn B&B is set in Cornwall, N.Y., in the heart of the Hudson River Valley. Approximately 4,000 acres of hiking trails and lakes are located across the street. The inn is five miles north of the West Point Military Academy and the Boscobel House. Shopping is available less than ten miles away at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. Features. This historic country estate is positioned on seven acres of woodlands, and includes an 1820 brick mansion and a 1764 Colonial cottage. Full, complimentary breakfasts, including caramel-glazed baked apples and croissant French toast, are served on the screened-in veranda each morning. Complimentary freshly baked cookies are available throughout the day. Picnics and dinners are available by arrangement. Complimentary wireless Internet access and event catering are available. The innkeepers can arrange for spa services, including in-room massages. The mansion features formal gardens with sitting benches and hammocks. A patio with umbrella tables and a fountain is available for lounging. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. The Cromwell Manor Inn B&B offers 11 guestrooms and two suites, all with private bathrooms. Accommodations are decorated with period antiques and fine furnishings. Rooms feature four-poster beds and/or claw-foot soaking tubs. Complimentary bottled water and snacks are provided in the units.
Expert Tip. The farm next door to the inn is home to a 1,000-pound pig named Polly. Breakfast scraps from the inn are put in Polly's personalized bucket, and some willing guests even get the privilege of feeding her.
