Location. The Cape Haze Resort is located in Cape Haze, Fla., in a coastal community. Less than 10 miles from the property is the Cayo Costa Island State Park, which can be accessed only by private boat or passenger ferry, and features acres of beaches, pine forest, mangrove swamps and bird-watching. Several charter fishing companies are located within 10 miles of the resort, offering a variety of trips that focus on different breeds of fish or sharks.
Features. This private community features tropical landscaping throughout the property, two lakes with lighted fountains, gazebos and a nature preserve. Covered parking or garages are provided. A clubhouse offers a party room with a bar and kitchen, meeting rooms and workout facilities. Outside of the clubhouse are basketball courts, tennis courts, a putting green, beach volleyball, court volleyball, one-mile jogging track, swimming pool with lap lanes and a hot tub. A picnic area is equipped with barbecue grills. Concierge services are available at the main office. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. Condominiums at the Cape Haze Resort feature complete kitchens accented with European cabinets and equipped with refrigerators, stove-top ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, garbage disposals, dishware and cookware. The entryways, kitchens and bathrooms feature tiled floors. Screened-in lanais are provided in all condos. All units are equipped with cable television, and washers and dryers.
Expert Tip. The Cedar Point Environmental Center offers guided tours through mangroves and salt flats, and provides nature-watching opportunities for Florida wildlife such as alligators, tortoises, bald eagles and many other species of birds and mammals.
