Location. The Orchid Inn is located along California's Central Coast in San Simeon, Calif. The opulent Hearst Castle, built by newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst in 1919, is three miles from the inn. The picturesque seaside village of Cambria, located four miles away, is an artists' colony featuring restaurants, unique shops and art galleries. Cambria is also a starting point for tours of scores of wineries in the Paso Robles Wine Region.
Features. Accommodations at the Orchid Inn are located in two buildings. The main building is furnished with designer furnishings, and the Traveler building offers guestrooms with contemporary furnishings. Complimentary continental breakfast buffets are available each morning in the lobby of the main building. The property features a heated outdoor pool and the Atmosphere Lounge overlooking the pool. Specializing in wines from local vineyards, this full bar is open Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Live entertainment is offered on select dates. A conference room for up to 12 guests is available. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in the lounge and in the lobby of the main building.
