Location. The Hearthstone Lodge is located in Chatsworth, Ga., between Carters Lake and Fort Mountain. The property is adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest, featuring over 450 miles of trails. Carters Lake offers hunting, fishing and boating less than eight miles away. Features. Built in 1997, this log home features an outdoor hearth, a front porch with a swing and rocking chairs, and French doors that open to a deck with sitting areas surrounded by the forest. The lodge is nestled on 100 acres, and features a trout pond and meandering streams. Mountain laurels, oak and hemlock trees, and rhododendron grow on the property. Complimentary full breakfasts are served each morning in the dining room. The lodge offers morning newspapers. Complimentary wine and cheese, iced tea, hot apple cider and evening desserts are served in the evenings. The lodge provides complimentary wireless Internet access and conference rooms. An art gallery and 500-volume library featured. The game room offers a pool table, plasma television, dartboard and playing cards. The lodge features a steam room with Mr. Stream AromaSteam Essential Oils and an outdoor hot tub. On-site massage therapy sessions are available upon request, including Eurostone therapy and aromatherapy. Hiking trails are accessible from the lodge. Pets are not allowed at the property.
Guestrooms. The Hearthstone Lodge offers three guestrooms named for different types of apples. Accommodations offer separate sitting areas and entertainment centers with televisions, VCRs and DVD players. All units feature private bathrooms with bathrobes and organic soaps. Bathrooms include tub/shower combinations or claw-foot tubs. Pillowtop mattresses are featured in all rooms. Accommodations showcase mahogany and four-poster beds, and log furniture.
Expert Tip. The Chattahoochee National Forest, adjacent to the lodge, features a portion of the Appalachian Trail.
