The Terrace Inn, recognized as a National Historic Landmark, is located in Petoskey, Mich. Nestled away in the resort area of Bay View, a Victorian community characterized by shoreline vistas, scenic woods and ski resorts, this bed and breakfast is less than one mile from the shores of Lake Michigan. Still retaining the original transoms and glass windows, this 1911 inn is furnished with antiques, vintage chandeliers and a fireplace in the lobby. Complimentary breakfasts are served each morning, and complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and non-alcoholic beverages are available throughout the day. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided throughout the residence, and a television is located in the lower-level meeting room. The inn offers private beach access, and horse-drawn sleigh rides are available in the winter. Pets are not allowed.
This inn offers 40 guestrooms, all with private bathrooms and air conditioning. Cottage rooms intentionally exclude televisions and telephones in order to provide a quiet atmosphere. All cottage rooms provide forest views or views of Little Traverse Bay. Deluxe rooms, including Hemingway's Room and the Seascape Lovers Room, offer flat-screen televisions with cable channels and full bathrooms with soaking tubs and showers.
