Location. Positioned on historic Main Street, the Country Inn & Suites in St. Charles, Mo., is two blocks from AmeriStar Casino and adjacent to the Katy Trail. The surrounding area is a few hundred feet away from the banks of the Missouri River and lined with restaurants and specialty shops. The hotel is also one-quarter mile from the Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, a boat tour group that re-enacts a section of Lewis and Clark's river journey. Other attractions such as Frenchtown Heritage Museum and Lindenwood University are within two miles of the hotel.

Expert Tip. Katy Trail State Park consists of a paved trail used by joggers, hikers and cyclists year round. The trail stretches 225 miles from St. Charles to Clinton, Mo. and served as the former right-of-way area for the old Missouri- Kansas-Texas Railroad, also known as the MKT or Katy Line.
